Welcome to the Honda CR-V Door Lock Settlement website. This website provides information about the settlement of a lawsuit concerning power door lock actuators on certain Settlement Class Vehicles (2007-2008 Honda CR-Vs and certain 2009 Honda CR-Vs). If you purchased or leased one of the cars described in the Notice, you are a member of the Settlement Class and you may be entitled to certain benefits, described in detail in the Notice.

The Court held a final approval hearing on May 7, 2015, and entered final approval of the settlement on May 8, 2015. Assuming there are no appeals of the Court’s final approval order, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. will provide reimbursement benefits to eligible Settlement Class Members as described in detail in the Settlement Agreement and Release and Notice by September 4, 2015. Additionally, Settlement Class Members who currently own or lease a Settlement Class Vehicle are eligible immediately for a free Countermeasure Replacement, and are also eligible for warranty extension if they have not excluded themselves from the Settlement, as described in detail in the Settlement Agreement and Release and the Notice.

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OPTIONS IN THIS SETTLEMENT 

• FREE REPLACEMENT OF THE DRIVER’S DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR
  Even if the driver’s door lock actuator is functioning properly, as long as the actuator has not already been replaced with the appropriate part, you are entitled to a free replacement. To receive a new door lock actuator, you must take your CR-V to an authorized Honda dealer. For additional details, please see the Product Update.
  
  
• WARRANTY EXTENSION
  If you currently own or lease a Settlement Class Vehicle, Honda will automatically extend your warranty for the four occupant door actuators until: (1) three years from the date the original limited warranty expired; or (2) November 7, 2015 (six months from the Final Approval Hearing), whichever is later.
  
  
• SUBMIT A CLAIM FORM
  This is the only way to get reimbursement for Out-Of-Pocket Expenses. If you timely submit a valid Claim Form with a repair invoice or receipt or similar documentation and Proof of Payment for a qualified repair, you can obtain reimbursement of eligible repair expenses. Settlement Class Members are required to complete and submit a timely Claim Form to receive any monetary benefits under the settlement. All Claim Forms and supporting documentation must be postmarked no later than July 6, 2015.
